Standard Layouts

Three standard layouts are available:

§ Normal

§ Reference

§ Maximized

Standard Layout Options

To select a standard layout:

§ On the View tab, in the Layout group, click one of the following layout options:

Layout Option	Description
Normal	Layer List and Properties Sheet on the left, and the Working Window on the right.
Reference	Layer List and Reference Window on the left, Working Window and Properties Sheet on the right.
Maximized	Working Window maximized to entire screen. Layer List and Properties Sheet in auto-hide mode (See “Auto-Hide” in this chapter for more information) and ribbon minimized.

Note: Layers can be included in the Reference Window even when it is not visible - these layers become visible when the Link Windows button is on and the Superimpose slider is used.

In Normal or Reference layout, the size of each of these panels can be adjusted by moving the partitions that divide the upper and lower halves and left and right sides of the screen.

To move a partition:

§ Rest the cursor on the partition until it changes to a double-headed arrow, and then drag horizontally or vertically.
